PCB PROTOTYPE
AOI stands for Automated Optical Inspection, which is an inspection tool and method in Printed Circuit Board Assembly to efficiently and accurately detect SMT assembly production errors before PCB assemblies leaving the facility. Fuchuangke Technology is a leading turnkey PCB and assembly manufacturer with SMT house in Shenzhen, China, provides SPI, AOI, X-ray, FAI and FCT services.
What Assembly Problems Can be Detected?
AOI can take photos on the top and bottom side of the PCB assembly prototype, and the operator setup the quality assembly standard for all components soldered on the photos. This standard can be used by the photo processing software built-in the AOI. AOI will take photos for each PCB assemblies and compare these photos with the standard photos to identify assembly errors such as
- Missing components
- Misplaced components
- Soldering short circuits
- Disconnected components
- Components Dis-alignment
With more complex PCB boards and larger volume production quantity, AOI can improve error detection over visual inspection because AOI machine has seen widespread adoption as surface mounting components have miniaturized and PCB board production aims to be more efficient.
What’s Our AOI Conduct Standard?
Our AOI is one tool to provide the best product quality to our customers. Due to the added labor of setting up the AOI equipment, it is more economical for our customers if we provide AOI inspection service on larger or complex PCB assembly orders as listed in the table below. All of our work is visually inspected by our QA technicians. There is no additional cost when AOI is used, as it is included in our standard PCB assembly services as directed below.
