A 2 Layer Flexible PCB or Double-sided FPCB is a patterned arrangement of 2 copper printed circuitry that connected with plated-through holes. To be easy, it’s made of a double-sided flexible copper clad laminate (FCCL) and with or without coverlay. Polyimide (PI) dielectric material is in-between the 2-layer copper. If with adhesive between copper and the dielectric PI, it calls adhesive PI substrate. Otherwise, it calls adhesiveless PI substrate. Generally, the 2layer flexible PCB with adhesiveless PI substrate is cheaper than that with adhesive PI substrate.
